Henry Shires started Tarptent in his garage in 2002 and accidentally created the most beloved cottage tent brand in ultralight backpacking. The Double Rainbow is a single-wall design — no separate rainfly — which saves weight but means condensation management matters (vent it). Roomy for two, palatial for one.
